At Ferntree Gully North Primary School, all students from Prep to Grade 6 attend weekly science lessons in our science lab.  This learning space was purposefully designed during 2022 to give students opportunities to learn about scientific concepts in a safe, challenging and engaging environment.   Students participate in hands-on and interactive science experiences and are encouraged and supported to be curious learners who use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  The Victorian Curriculum for Science has two interconnected strands: Science Understanding and Science Inquiry Skills.  As a result of the interconnection between the strands, students learn to gain an understanding of scientific concepts and how these relate to their everyday lives.
